Mason/Skidmore Neighborhood Greenway Meeting with PBOT

PBOT will present its updated plan for the Mason/Skidmore Neighborhood  Greenway and provide the opportunity for input by neighbors. This will  be a Zoom meeting to try to make it easy for neighbors to participate.   As a reminder, PBOT recently completed construction on NE 33rd for this  Greenway project. The next phase of the project addressing 37th to 77th  is planned to begin construction in August.  The draft of the full plan  is available here: https://tinyurl.com/5e4bkb78. The majority of the work planned in our neighborhood (between 37th and 47th) will be:

• Adding around 10 speed bumps on Skidmore between 37th and 47th
• Adding stop signs on 37th, 38th, and 40th
• Parking setbacks at intersections on Skidmore to improve visibility
• Upgraded street lighting at the intersection of 42nd & Skidmore
• Shared street markings along Skidmore

The most significant planned change in our neighborhood is the addition  of two small islands on NE 42nd at Skidmore (shown in green)
